On April 15, students of grades 12.1 and 12.2 organized a conference on the topic “Difficulties That Young People Face and How to Solve Them.” For over a month, students worked during their English lessons to prepare for the event. They chose their specific topics, wrote speeches, created presentations, and helped set up the space for the conference.
During the conference, students discussed important challenges that many young people experience today, such as stress, societal pressure, health and addictions , financial problems , and future uncertainty. These issues are very relevant for both 12th and 11th grade students, as they are all preparing to enter adult life and face new responsibilities. Below are some opinions shared by the participants:
Agris and Maksims: We enjoyed the conference, there was a great job done by everyone who had a hand in creating the conference, and it was felt that everyone took the preparation of the speech seriously.
Angelina and Kristers: We think that the conference was a good experience for us and for our future. It helped us improve our knowledge about the difficulties that young people face and the solutions for them, as well as enhance our public speaking skills. Also, we believe that we did a good job working both in groups and in pairs. We think that all students should try it.
Ksenija Ščerbakova and Germans: The conference contained very useful and informative information. We believe that we had a useful experience and now we have an idea of the conference. We also hope that the audience listened to valuable advice and solutions to problems. We think that such events can be organized more often.
Viktors and Jāzeps: We think that the conference was successful and the topic for the conference was relevant and interesting because it covered a lot of important problems that young people face.
Ksenija Šmaukstele, Evelīna: We think that the conference went great. We talked about the main problems that young people face nowadays, our exact topic was “social media influence”. We talked about the negative impact of social media and presented our solutions, also stating examples.
In conclusion, the conference was useful and interesting. It helped students understand common problems and think about how to deal with them.

15. aprīlī 12.1 un 12.2 klašu skolēni organizēja konferenci par tēmu “Grūtības, ar kurām jaunieši saskaras, un kā tās risināt.” Vairāk nekā mēnesi skolēni angļu valodas stundās strādāja pie šī pasākuma sagatavošanas. Viņi izvēlējās konkrētas tēmas, rakstīja runas, veidoja prezentācijas un palīdzēja sagatavot telpas konferencei.

Ksenija Šmaukstele, Evelīna: Mēs uzskatām, ka konference izdevās lieliski. Mēs runājām par galvenajām problēmām, ar kurām mūsdienās saskaras jaunieši, mūsu tēma bija “sociālo mediju ietekme”. Mēs runājām par sociālo mediju negatīvo ietekmi un prezentējām savus risinājumus, minot piemērus un faktus.
Kopumā konference bija noderīga un interesanta. Tā palīdzēja skolēniem saprast biežāk sastopamās problēmas un padomāt par to risinājumiem.
